A little over a year ago I decided to stop drifting thought life and to instead create the life I wanted for myself. I also chose to chronicle this process in a blog I titled Up From The Ashes. One of my early goals starting out was to stick to a regular posting schedule. Monday through Friday I post items on the subject of personal development and share my plans and successes.

The Oak Leaf
I started this year as a staff writer for the Oak Leaf, the award winning newspaper of Santa Rosa Junior College, and moved quickly to the position of Opinion Editor. At the Oak Leaf I have written news, features and reviews as well as a regular column focusing on students and technology.

Online to-do lists decrease clutter
Staff Writer Quinn Conklin suggests that time and task management is not about denying ourselves what we want, but about making sure we have time to enjoy life while getting everything done.
GaySonoma.com
I also write for We the People. Formerly a print newspaper We The People recently moved online to gaysonoma.com. As a web site it continues to deliver local as well as national Gay and Lesbian news to the greater Sonoma County area.
